Rear Seat Removal/Installation

NOTE:

• When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
  
• Take care not to scratch the body or rear the seat covers.
  
• Right rear seat is shown, and left rear seat is similar.
  

Seat-back/Seat Side Bolster/Slide Linkage/Center Pivot Bracket

1.	Tilt the seat-back forward, and tip the seat cushion up.

2.	Remove the front cargo floor.

3.	Detach the clips and hooks (A) by lifting the seat side bolster (B) up, and remove it. Fastener Locations: Clip, 3ABA

Remove all the seat belt buckles (A) from the elastic straps, detach the clips (B, C) by pulling the right rear seat belt center anchor cover (D), center rear seat belt center anchor cover (E), and left rear seat belt center anchor cover (F) up, then remove them. 5.	Right rear seat: Remove the right rear seat belt center anchor bolt.

6.	Remove the pivot bolt (A) from the seat cushion leg (B). AB8 x 1.25 mm 22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)

7.	Fold the seat-back forward, then remove the rear seat belt lower anchor bolt.

8.	Remove the center pivot cover (A) and the bolt, then stand the hook bracket (B). ABFastener Location: Bolt, 16 x 1.0 mm 9.8 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7.2 lbf·ft)

9.	Raise the seat-bock half-way up, and remove the mounting bolts from the front and behind of the seat-back. Front: Fastener Locations: Bolt, 210 x 1.25 mm 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m, 25 lbf·ft) Behind: Fastener Locations: Bolt, 210 x 1.25 mm 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m, 25 lbf·ft)

10.	Lift up on the seat-back (A) while removing the center pivot (B) from the bracket, and releasing the hook (C) of the base bracket (D) from the body. ABCD

11.	Fold the seat-back (A) forward while lifting it with the link bracket (B) of the slide linkage. Take care not to weigh down the bracket with the seat-back. AB

12.	Remove the clip (A) from the shaft (B), then move the seat-back (C) inside to remove the shaft from the link bracket (D). ABCD

13.	With the help of an assistant, remove the rear seat-back through the rear door opening.

14.	Slide the link bracket (A) of the slide linkage (B) forward to unlock the seat cushion (C), then tip the seat cushion up. CAB

15.	Release the hooks (A), then remove the slide linkage cover (B) from the slide linkage (C). CBAA

16.	Stand the seat damper (A), remove the mounting bolts, then remove the slide linkage (B) by releasing the hook (C) from the body. ABCFastener Locations: Bolt, 210 x 1.25 mm 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m, 25 lbf·ft)

17.	Remove the other rear seat in the preceding steps, then remove the mounting bolt to remove the center pivot bracket (A). AFastener Locations: Bolt, 28 x 1.25 mm 22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)8 x 1.25 mm 22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)

18.	Install the seat-back in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Replace the damaged pivot bashings (A) with new ones, if necessary. Apply multipurpose grease to the moving portions of the slide linkage (B) as shown. AB

Seat Cushion

1.	Remove the seat cushion leg covers (A) from both sides. A

2.	Tilt the seat-back half-way forward, and tip the seat cushion up.

3.	Remove the pivot bolt (A) from the seat cushion leg (B). AB8 x 1.25 mm 22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)

4.	Remove the bolts, then remove the seat cushion (A) through the rear door opening. AFastener Locations: Bolt, 310 x 1.25 mm 34 N·m (3.5 kgf·m, 25 lbf·ft)

5.	If necessary, remove the screws, then remove the leg upper covers (A) from both sides. Fastener Locations: Screw, 4A

6.	If necessary, remove the nuts, then remove the seat cushion inner leg (A) and outer leg (B) from the seat cushion. Fastener Locations: Nut, 48 x 1.25 mm 22 N·m (2.2 kgf·m, 16 lbf·ft)AB

7.	Install the seat cushion in the reverse order of removal.
