HOW TO VIEW THIS MANUAL OFFLINE

These manuals are web pages, so they need a small web server to display
properly. One is included. Nothing is installed and nothing is sent anywhere.


WHERE THESE FILES GO
--------------------
The server serves whatever folder it sits in. Its own location is what decides
what you will see, so put these four files in the TOP folder of what you
extracted - the one holding the year folders.

Say you downloaded Impreza.7z and extracted it to C:\Manuals. You should end up
with this:

    C:\Manuals\Impreza\
        serve.cmd                              <-- the four files go HERE
        serve.sh
        serve_manual.py

Put them one level too high (in C:\Manuals) and you will still see Impreza, just
with an extra click. Put them one level too low (inside 2005\) and you will only
be able to reach that one year.


RUNNING IT - WINDOWS
--------------------
  1. Extract somewhere with a SHORT path, such as C:\Manuals. Windows refuses
     paths longer than 260 characters and these manuals have deep folders.
  2. Double-click  serve.cmd
  3. A black window opens and your browser opens on a list of folders.
  4. Click through: year -> manual -> index.html
  5. Leave the black window open while you read. Close it when you are done and
     the server stops.


RUNNING IT - MAC / LINUX

Open a terminal in that folder and run:  sh serve.sh


NOTES
-----
  - The server is only reachable from this computer. Nobody else on your
    network, or on the internet, can see it.
  - If Python is not installed, serve.cmd downloads a private copy the first
    time you run it. That one step needs an internet connection; everything
    afterwards works offline.
  - serve.cmd, serve.sh, serve_manual.py and this file appear in the folder
    list in your browser. That is normal - ignore them.
  - You can run more than one at a time. The second one picks the next free
    port by itself.
  - If a page reports "not found" for a file you can see on disk, your path is
    too long. Move the folder to C:\Manuals and try again. To see which files
    are affected, run:  serve.cmd --check
