NOTICE:
Do not heat the engine hood and hood bulge excessively.

HINT:
When installing the hood bulge, heat the vehicle body and hood bulge using a heat light.



1. INSTALL HOOD AIR INTAKE SEAL

  1. Install the air intake seal with the 18 clips.



2. INSTALL HOOD BULGE

  1. Clean the engine hood surface.

    1. Using a heat light, heat the engine hood surface.

    2. Remove the double-sided tape from the engine hood.

    3. Wipe off the stains with cleaner.

  1. If reusing hood bulge:
    Clean the hood bulge.

    1. Remove the double-sided tape from the hood bulge.

    2. Wipe off the stains with cleaner.

    3. Apply new double-sided tape to the hood bulge, as shown in the illustration.



  1. Install the hood bulge.

    1. Using a heat light, heat the engine hood and hood bulge.

    2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the hood bulge.

      HINT:
      After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from dirt and other contaminants.

    3. Install the hood bulge with the 8 nuts.

      Torque:
      3.0 N*m{ 31 kgf*cm , 27 in.*lbf }



3. INSTALL HOOD INSULATOR

  1. Install the hood insulator with 15 clips.



4. INSTALL HEADLAMP COVER TO HOOD SEAL

  1. Install the hood seal with the 18 clips.



5. INSTALL HOOD TO RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL

  1. Install the support seal with the 6 clips.
