1. FIX VANE PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Using SST, fix the vane pump between aluminum plates in a vise, as shown in the illustration.

2. REMOVE FLOW CONTROL VALVE

  1. Using a 27 mm socket wrench, remove the pressure port union from the front housing.

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the O-ring from the pressure port union.

  1. Remove the flow control valve from the front housing.

  1. Remove the compression spring from the front housing.



3. REMOVE POWER STEERING OIL PRESSURE SWITCH
  1. Remove the oil pressure switch from the front housing.



4. REMOVE REAR VANE PUMP HOUSING

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and housing rear from the front housing.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the rear housing.



5. REMOVE SHAFT WITH PULLEY

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the shaft snap ring from the shaft with pulley.

  1. Remove the shaft with pulley from the rear housing.



6. REMOVE VANE PUMP ROTOR
  1. Remove the 10 vane pump plates from the vane pump rotor.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to drop the vane plates.

  1. Remove the vane pump rotor from the front housing.



7. REMOVE VANE PUMP CAM RING


8. REMOVE FRONT VANE PUMP SIDE PLATE

  1. Remove the front side plate from the front housing.

  1. Remove the O-ring No. 1 from the side plate.

  1. Remove the No. 2 O-ring from the front housing.



9. REMOVE VANE PUMP HOUSING OIL SEAL

  1. Using a screwdriver, pry out the oil seal.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
