CAUTION:
  1. Wear protective gloves when removing the heated oxygen sensor.
  1. The exhaust pipe assembly is extremely hot immediately after the engine has stopped.
  1. Confirm that the exhaust pipe assembly has cooled down before removing it.



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (2WD)

  1. Disconnect the sensor connector.

  1. Using SST, remove the sensor.

3. REMOVE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR (4WD)

  1. Disconnect the sensor connector.

  1. Disconnect the sensor wire from the clamp.

  1. Using SST, remove the sensor.
