1. INSPECT EVAPORATIVE EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM

  1. After starting the engine, disconnect the vacuum hose shown in the illustration.

  1. Confirm that vacuum occurs at the VSV port when choosing "ACTIVE TEST" and "PURGE VSV" according to the display on the intelligent tester.

  1. Finish "ACTIVE TEST", then connect the vacuum hose again.

  1. After going to "ECU DATA MONITOR" on the intelligent tester, choose "PURGE VSV" to check the operation of the purge VSV.

  1. After warming up the engine and driving the vehicle, confirm that the VSV turns on from off.
