HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.



1. INSTALL SIDE STEP STAY

  1. Install the No. 1 side step stay LH with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    18 N*m{ 184 kgf*cm , 13 in.*lbf }

  1. Extra cab and double cab:
    Install the No. 2 side step stay LH with the bolt and nut.

    Torque:
    18 N*m{ 184 kgf*cm , 13 in.*lbf }

  1. Single cab:
    Install the No. 3 side step stay LH with the bolt and nut.

    Torque:
    18 N*m{ 184 kgf*cm , 13 in.*lbf }



  1. Extra cab and double cab:
    Install the No. 3 side step stay LH with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    18 N*m{ 184 kgf*cm , 13 in.*lbf }

2. INSTALL SIDE STEP ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Install the side step to the side step stays.

  1. Single cab:
    Using an air riveter or hand riveter, install the side step with 4 new rivets.

  1. Extra cab and double cab:
    Using an air riveter or hand riveter, install the side step with 6 new rivets.

    NOTICE:

    1. B079664E05
      Do not pry the rivet with the riveter, as this will cause damage to the riveter and mandrel.

    2. B079665E06
      Confirm that the rivets are seated properly against the side step.
      Do not tilt the riveter when installing the rivet to the side step.
      Do not leave any space between the rivet and side step.

    3. B079666E09
      Do not leave any space between the side step and stay. Firmly hold together the 2 items while installing the rivet.
