1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the MAF meter connector.

  1. Loosen the hose clamp.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and air cleaner.



3. REMOVE AIR PUMP INLET

  1. Remove the bolt from the radiator tank upper.

  1. Disconnect the hose from the air pump inlet pipe.



4. DISCONNECT NO. 4 AIR HOSE

  1. Disconnect the hose from the clamp.

  1. Loosen the 2 clamps and disconnect the No. 4 air hose.



5. REMOVE AIR PUMP PIPE

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 claws from the body panel and inlet pipe.

  1. Remove the bolt and inlet pipe.



6. REMOVE FRONT FENDER APRON SEAL UPPER

  1. Remove the 6 clips and apron seal.



7. REMOVE AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET

  1. Disconnect the No. 3 hose from the inlet pipe.

  1. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 hose from the inlet pipe.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and pump.



8. REMOVE AIR PUMP COVER

  1. Using a clip remover, detach the 3 clips and remove the pump cover.



9. DISCONNECT NO. 2 AIR HOSE

  1. Remove the clamp from the No. 2 hose.

  1. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the No. 2 hose from the pump.



10. DISCONNECT NO. 3 AIR HOSE

  1. Disconnect No. 3 hose from the pump.



11. REMOVE AIR PUMP ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the pump from the bracket with air pump insulator.
