1. INSPECT VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE (for EGR Cut)

  1. Measure the resistance of the VSV.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    		Specified Condition
    1 - 2
    		37 to 44 Ω at 20°C (68°F)
    1 - Body Ground
    2 - Body Ground
    		1 MΩ or higher

    If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve.

  1. Check operation of the VSV.

    1. Check that air dose not flow from port E to the filter.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve.



      2. A098826E01

    2. Apply battery voltage across terminals 1 and 2.

    3. Check that air flows from port E to the filter.
      If the result is not as specified, replace the vacuum switching valve.
