1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

  1. Push in the sides of the glove compartment door, as indicated by the arrows in the illustration. Then open the door to release it from the 2 stoppers. Open the door until it is horizontal.

  1. Pull the glove compartment door toward the rear of the vehicle to detach the 2 hinges and remove the glove compartment door.



3. REMOVE 4WD CONTROL ECU (for 4WD)

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the bolt and control ECU.



4. REMOVE TURBO MOTOR DRIVER

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the bolt and turbo motor driver.



5. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission)

  1. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and TCM.



6. REMOVE ECM

  1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

  1. Remove the bolt, 2 nuts and ECM.
