1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag activation



2. REMOVE NO. 2 AIR CLEANER PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the manifold absolute pressure sensor connector.

  1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the gas filter.

  1. Loosen the 2 clamps.

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the pipe together with the 2 air hoses.



3. REMOVE VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE BRACKET

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and bracket.



4. REMOVE DIESEL THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the 2 connectors.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts, 2 nuts, throttle body and gasket.



5. REMOVE THROTTLE BODY BRACKET

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and bracket.



6. REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR

  1. Remove the 2 nuts, bolt, air connector and bracket.



7. REMOVE NO. 1 GLOW PLUG CONNECTOR

  1. Remove the nut and wire harness.

  1. Remove the 4 screw grommets, 4 nuts and glow plug connector.



8. REMOVE GLOW PLUG ASSEMBLY

  1. Using a 12 mm deep socket wrench, remove the 4 glow plugs.
