TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE > REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE TRANSFER SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


2. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the parking brake hole cover sub-assembly (Click here).



3. REMOVE UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the upper console panel sub-assembly (Click here).



4. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the console box assembly (Click here).



5. REMOVE TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

  1. Move the shift lever to L.

  1. Disconnect the control cable from the shift lever.

  1. Remove the lock clip and disconnect the control cable from the bracket.

  1. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the control cable from the vehicle body.

  1. Remove the nut and disconnect the control cable from the vehicle body.

  1. Remove the lock clip and control cable bracket.

  1. Remove the nut and control cable.



6. INSTALL TRANSMISSION CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the control cable with the nut.

    Torque:
    14 N*m{ 143 kgf*cm , 10 ft.*lbf }

  1. Install the control cable bracket and lock clip.

  1. Connect the control cable to the body with the nut.

    Torque:
    5.5 N*m{ 56 kgf*cm , 49 in.*lbf }

  1. Connect the control cable to the body with the 2 nuts.

    Torque:
    5.5 N*m{ 56 kgf*cm , 49 in.*lbf }

  1. Connect the control cable to the bracket with the lock clip.

  1. Move the shift lever to L.

  1. Install the control cable to the shift lever.



7. ADJUST SHIFT LEVER POSITION

  1. Adjust the shift lever position (Click here).



8. INSPECT SHIFT LEVER POSITION

  1. Inspect the shift lever position (Click here).



9. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the console box assembly (Click here).



10. INSTALL UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the upper console panel sub-assembly (Click here).



11. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the parking brake hole cover sub-assembly (Click here).



12. INSTALL TRANSFER SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY
