HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE REAR DOOR PULL HANDLE

  1. Remove the screw and pull handle.



3. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips and 2 claws, and move the base panel together with the switch.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Disconnect the switch connector.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the window regulator switch.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the screw labeled A and clip labeled B.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 9 remaining clips and remove the trim board.

    HINT:
    1. Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
    2. If the screwdriver cannot reach the clips, pull on the lower trim to remove it.

    NOTICE:
    1. The clip labeled C cannot be reused. When installing the trim board, replace clip C.
    2. In order to prevent the door panel from being damaged, use protective tape to cover the areas indicated by the arrows in the illustration.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws and remove the weatherstrip inner.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



5. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Using a drill bit with a diameter of less than 4 mm (0.16 in.), drill out the 3 rivet heads and remove the speaker.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not drill the rivet at an angle as this will cause damage to the drill and drill hole. Line up the drill and rivet, and carefully drill out the rivet head.
    2. Be careful as the cut rivet will be very hot.

  1. Continue drilling and push out the remaining rivet fragments.

  1. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the inside of the door.



6. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Put protective tape under the moulding.

  1. Using a moulding remover, pry out the moulding as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Tape the remover tip before use.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the moulding as there are claws attached to the the moulding.



7. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Move the inside handle in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration. This will release the claws and allow removal of the inside handle.

  1. Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.



8. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  1. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 grommets.

  1. Remove the service hole cover.

    NOTICE:
    Remove the remaining tape on the door.



9. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR LOWER

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and frame.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the bolts as the window frame may fall and become damaged.



10. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
  1. Remove the glass run.

  1. Remove the glass.



11. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and regulator.

    HINT:
    Remove the window regulator through the service hole.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the bolts as the window regulator may fall and become damaged.



12. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Using a T25 "torx" driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.



13. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Using a T30 "torx" socket, remove the 3 screws and door lock.

    HINT:
    Remove the door lock through the service hole.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the bolts as the door lock may fall and become damaged.



14. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH

  1. Using a T30 " torx" socket, loosen the screw and remove the outside handle cover.



15. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow mark in the illustration.

    NOTICE:
    If the bellcrank lever is not pulled and held when removing the handle, the bellcrank lever will interfere with the handle and become damaged.



16. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Using a T30 "torx" socket, loosen the screw of the frame.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the screw as the frame may fall and become damaged.

  1. Using pliers, pinch the clips and remove the frame.

    HINT:
    Remove the frame through the service hole.

    NOTICE:
    Be sure to remove the outside handle frame together with the clip, as the clip will be damaged if they remain attached to the door panel.



17. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD FRONT

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the pad.



18. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD REAR

19. REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and door check.

    HINT:
    Remove the door check through the service hole.



20. REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

  1. Using a clip remover, detach the 32 clips and remove the weatherstrip.

    HINT:
    If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.
