HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power window)

  1. Insert a clip remover between the plate and trim.

  1. Turn the handle clockwise to remove the handle.



3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 clips and remove the garnish.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



4. REMOVE DOOR PULL HANDLE

  1. Remove the screw and pull handle.



5. REMOVE FRONT ARMREST BASE PANEL UPPER LH (w/ Power Window)

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the clip and 5 claws, and remove the panel together with the window regulator master switch.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Disconnect the switch connector.

  1. Driver side:
    Remove the 3 screws and window regulator master switch from the base panel.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the screws as the switch may fall and become damaged.

  1. Passenger side:
    Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the window regulator switch from the base panel.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when detaching the claws as the switch may fall and become damaged.



6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the screw labeled A and clip labeled B.

  1. Remove the trim.

    1. Double cab:
      Using a screwdriver, detach the 8 remaining clips and remove the trim.

    2. Single cab:
      Using a screwdriver, detach the 9 remaining clips and remove the trim.

      HINT:
      1. Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
      2. If the screwdriver cannot reach the clips, pull on the lower trim to remove it.

      NOTICE:
      1. The clip labeled C cannot be reused. When installing the trim board, replace clip C.
      2. In order to prevent the door panel from being damaged, use protective tape to cover the areas indicated by the arrows in the illustration.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 7 claws and remove the weatherstrip inner.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



7. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Using a drill bit with a diameter of less than 4 mm (0.16 in.), drill out the 3 rivet heads and remove the speaker.

    NOTICE:
    1. Do not drill the rivet at an angle as this will cause damage to the drill and drill hole. Line up the drill and rivet, and carefully drill out the rivet head.
    2. Be careful as the cut rivet will be very hot.

  1. Continue drilling and push out the remaining rivet fragments.

  1. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the inside of the door.



8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the screw and speaker.



9. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Move the inside handle in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration. This will release the claw and allow removal of the inside handle.

  1. Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.



10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH

  1. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the 2 grommets.

  1. Remove the service hole cover.

    NOTICE:
    Remove the remaining tape on the door.



11. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY LH

  1. w/ Power mirror control:
    Disconnect the mirror connector labeled A.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts.

  1. Push down the claw and remove the outer rear view mirror.



12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY LH
  1. Put protective tape under the moulding.



  1. Using a moulding remover, pry out the moulding as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Tape the remover tip before use.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the moulding as there are claws attached to the moulding.

13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Driver side:
    Temporarily install the window regulator master switch.

  1. Passenger side:
    Temporarily install the window regulator switch.

  1. w/o Power window:
    Temporarily install the window regulator handle.

  1. Move the door glass until the 2 bolts appear in the service holes.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the bolts as the glass may fall and become damaged.

  1. Remove the door glass in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Remove the glass upward.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the glass.

  1. Driver side:
    Remove the window regulator master switch.

  1. Passenger side:
    Remove the window regulator switch.

  1. w/o Power window:
    Remove the window regulator handle.



14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. w/ Power window:
    Disconnect the connector.

  1. w/ Power window:
    Remove the 6 bolts and regulator.

  1. w/o Power window:
    Remove the 5 bolts and regulator.

    HINT:
    Remove the window regulator through the service hole.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the bolts as the window regulator may fall and become damaged.



15. REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Power Window)

  1. Using a T25 "torx" driver, remove the 3 screws and motor.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the screws as the motor may fall and become damaged.



16. REMOVE FRONT DOOR FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY REAR LOWER LH

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and frame.

    HINT:
    Remove the frame through the service hole.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the bolts as the frame may fall and become damaged.



17. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER

  1. Remove the hole plug.

  1. Using a T30 "torx" socket, loosen the screw and remove the cover with the door key cylinder installed.

  1. Remove the cylinder from the cover.



18. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

  1. w/ Power door lock:
    Disconnect the connector.

  1. Using a T30 "torx" socket, remove the 3 screws and door lock.

    HINT:
    Remove the door lock through the service hole.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the bolts as the door lock may fall and become damaged.



19. REMOVE FRONT DOOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE LH

  1. Remove the handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

    NOTICE:
    If the bellcrank lever is not pulled and held when removing the handle, the bellcrank lever will interfere with the handle and become damaged.



20. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Using a T30 "torx" socket, loosen the screw of the frame.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when removing the screw as the frame may fall and become damaged.

  1. Using pliers, pinch the clip and remove the frame.

    HINT:
    Remove the frame through the service hole.

    NOTICE:
    Be sure to remove the outside handle frame together with the clip, as the clip will be damaged if they remain attached to the door panel.

  1. Remove the lock open rod.



21. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD FRONT

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the pad.

23. REMOVE FRONT DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and door check.

    HINT:
    Remove the door check through the service hole.



24. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH

  1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip indicated by the arrow in the illustration.

  1. Double cab:
    Using a clip remover, detach the 33 clips and remove the weatherstrip.

  1. Single cab:
    Using a clip remover, detach the 34 clips and remove the weatherstrip.

    HINT:
    If clips are damaged during removal, replace them.
