BLOWER UNIT > REMOVAL

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY UPPER

  1. Remove instrument panel sub-assembly upper (Click here).



3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER

  1. Remove instrument panel sub-assembly lower (Click here).



4. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

  1. Remove the clip and duct.



5. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

  1. Detach the 3 claws and remove the duct.



6. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT

  1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the duct.



7. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL BRACE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 3 nuts, 2 bolts, 2 clamps and instrument panel brace.

  1. Disconnect the connectors and remove the instrument panel junction block.



8. REMOVE NO. 4 AIR DUCT

  1. Detach the 2 claws and remove the duct.



9. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and pull out the steering column together with the steering sliding w/ coupling yoke.



10. REMOVE ECM

11. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL REINFORCEMENT

  1. Disconnect the connector, 2 clamps and wire harness.

  1. w/o PTC heater:
    Disconnect the connector, 2 clamps and wire harness.

  1. w/ PTC heater:
    Disconnect the connector, 3 clamps and wire harness.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the ground wires from the instrument panel reinforcement.

  1. Remove the grommet from the vehicle body.

  1. Release the 12 clamps.



  1. Disconnect the connectors.

  1. Remove the 3 bolts.

  1. Remove the 7 bolts and instrument panel reinforcement.

12. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 3 bolts and nut.

  1. Disconnect the blower unit from the A/C radiator.
