FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY > REMOVAL

HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
  3. A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Click here).



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Remove the bracket cover in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.



3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

  1. Pull the inner belts out from the bottom of the seat cushion.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts.

  1. w/ Occupant detection sensor:
    Disconnect the connector under the seat.

  1. Remove the seat.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.



4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY

  1. w/ Driver seat belt warning light:
    Detach the clamp.

  1. w/ Driver seat belt warning light:
    Detach the wire harness from the clamp.

  1. Remove the nut and seat belt.

  1. Remove the buckle cover.



5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

  1. w/ Passenger seat belt warning light:
    Detach the 2 clamps.

  1. w/ Passenger seat belt warning light:
    Disconnect the connector.

  1. Detach the wire harness from the clamp.

  1. Remove the nut and seat belt.

  1. Remove the buckle cover.



6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER W/ CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Bench Seat Type)

7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER W/ CENTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Bench Seat Type)
