FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY > REMOVAL

HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
  3. A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Click here).



1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Separate Seat Type)

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Remove the bracket cover in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.



3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Bench Seat Type)

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws and remove the cover.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



4. REMOVE QUARTER TRIM PANEL LOWER LH (for Single Cab)

  1. Remove the front door scuff plate.

  1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  1. Remove the bolt and anchor.

  1. Remove the quarter trim panel lower (Click here).



5. REMOVE QUARTER INSIDE TRIM BOARD LH (for Extra Cab)

  1. Remove the front door scuff plate.

  1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  1. Remove the back panel garnish upper.

  1. Remove the back panel garnish lower.

  1. Remove the bench type rear seatback (Click here).

  1. Remove the bolt and anchor.

  1. Remove the quarter inside trim board (Click here).



6. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR GARNISH LOWER LH (for Double Cab)

  1. Remove the front door scuff plate.

  1. Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

  1. Remove the rear door scuff plate.

  1. Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

  1. Remove the anchor's built-in bolt from the pillar.

  1. Remove the center pillar garnish lower.



7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Single cab:
    Remove the outer belt shoulder anchor.

    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and open the seat belt anchor cover.

      HINT:
      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the bolt and shoulder anchor.

  1. Double cab:
    Remove the outer belt shoulder anchor.

    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 claws and remove the seat belt anchor cover cap.

      HINT:
      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the bolt and shoulder anchor.

  1. w/o Pretensioner:
    Remove the bolt and seat belt.

  1. w/ Pretensioner:

    1. Disconnect the pretensioner connector as shown in the illustration.

    2. Remove the bolt and seat belt.



8. REMOVE FRONT SHOULDER BELT ANCHOR ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY (for Extra cab and Double cab)

  1. Remove the quarter or center pillar garnish (Click here Click here).

  1. Remove the bolt.

  1. Rotate the adjuster approximately 90° , and then pull and remove it.



9. REMOVE SHOULDER BELT ANCHORAGE PLATE COVER (for Extra Cab and Double Cab)

  1. Remove the plate cover.
