HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
  3. A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart (Click here).



1. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB ASSEMBLY

  1. Apply the MP grease to a new O-ring.

  1. Install the new O-ring to the axle hub.

  1. Install the dust cover and axle hub to the steering knuckle with the 4 bolts.

    Torque:
    80 N*m{ 816 kgf*cm , 59 ft.*lbf }



2. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB DUST SEAL

  1. Using SST and a press, press in a new dust seal.

3. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION UPPER ARM ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Install the upper arm with the nut.

    Torque:
    110 N*m{ 1,122 kgf*cm , 81 ft.*lbf }

  1. Install a new cotter pin.

    NOTICE:
    If the holes for the cotter pin are not aligned, tighten the nut an additional 60°.



4. INSTALL FRONT SUSPENSION LOWER ARM ASSEMBLY WITH ATTACHMENT LH

  1. Install the suspension arm with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    160 N*m{ 1,632 kgf*cm , 118 ft.*lbf }

  1. Install a new cotter pin.



5. INSTALL TIE ROD END SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Install the tie rod end with the nut.

    Torque:
    91 N*m{ 928 kgf*cm , 67 ft.*lbf }

  1. Install a new cotter pin.



6. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Install the stabilizer link with the nut.

    Torque:
    70 N*m{ 714 kgf*cm , 52 ft.*lbf }

    HINT:
    If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud.



7. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB NUT

  1. Install the hub nut.

    Torque:
    235 N*m{ 2,396 kgf*cm , 173 ft.*lbf }

  1. Install the adjusting cap and a new cotter pin.

    NOTICE:
    If the holes for the cotter pin are not aligned, tighten the nut an additional 60°.



8. INSTALL FRONT AXLE HUB GREASE CAP


9. INSTALL FRONT DISC


10. INSTALL FRONT DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Install the disc brake caliper with the 2 bolts.

    Torque:
    123 N*m{ 1,254 kgf*cm , 91 ft.*lbf }

  1. Install the brake tube bracket to the steering knuckle with the bolt.

    Torque:
    29 N*m{ 296 kgf*cm , 21 ft.*lbf }

  1. Using SST, connect the brake tube to the disc brake caliper.

    HINT:
    Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.81 in.).



11. INSTALL SPEED SENSOR FRONT LH

  1. Install the speed sensor with the bolt.

  1. Connect the 2 clamps.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm , 71 in.*lbf }

  1. Install the speed sensor wire harness to the steering knuckle with the bolt.

    Torque:
    13 N*m{ 133 kgf*cm , 10 ft.*lbf }



12. BLEED AIR FROM BRAKE LINE

  1. Bleed air from the brake line (Click here).



13. CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR

  1. Check the brake fluid level in the reservoir (Click here).



14. CHECK FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE

  1. Check for brake fluid leakage (Click here).



15. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque:
105 N*m{ 1,071 kgf*cm , 77 ft.*lbf }
