FRONT STABILIZER BAR > INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BAR
  1. Install the stabilizer bar front to the vehicle body.



2. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 STABILIZER BAR BUSH

  1. Install the 2 bushes.

    HINT:
    1. Install each bush to the outer side of the bush stopper on the stabilizer bar.
    1. Install each bush with the slit of the bush facing the vehicle front side.



3. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER BRACKET

  1. Install the 2 brackets with the 4 bolts.

    Torque:
    48 N*m{ 489 kgf*cm , 35 ft.*lbf }

    HINT:
    2WD and 4WD vehicle stabilizer brackets are imprinted with arrows. Only the 4WD brackets' arrows must point toward the front of the vehicle.



4. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY LH

  1. 2WD:

    1. Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with a new nut (upper side) and the nut (lower side).

      Torque:
      27 N*m{ 316 kgf*cm , 23 ft.*lbf } for upper side
      78 N*m{ 795 kgf*cm , 58 ft.*lbf } for lower side

      HINT:
      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud in place.

  1. 4WD:

    1. Install the front stabilizer link assembly LH with the 2 nuts.

      Torque:
      70 N*m{ 714 kgf*cm , 52 ft.*lbf }

      HINT:
      If the ball joint turns together with the nut, use a 6 mm hexagon wrench to hold the stud in place.



5. INSTALL FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY RH

HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.



6. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
  1. Install the front wheel.

    Torque:
    2WD:
    152 N*m{ 1,550 kgf*cm , 112 ft.*lbf } for steel wheel
    121 N*m{ 1,234 kgf*cm , 89 ft.*lbf } for aluminum wheel
    4WD:
    105 N*m{ 1,071 kgf*cm , 77 ft.*lbf }
