HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures described for the RH side and LH side.
  1. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
  1. A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard bolt chart.



1. REMOVE FRONT WHEEL


2. INSPECT FRONT SUSPENSION ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER LH

  1. Install the hub nuts to the disc.

  1. Using a dial indicator, measure the lower ball joint for excessive play when you push the hub nuts up and down with a force of 294 N (30 kgf, 66 lbf).

    Standard:
    0.5 mm (0.020 in.) or less

    1. If the joint play is not as specified, replace the arm sub-assembly lower.



3. DISCONNECT FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING

  1. Remove the nut and bolt.

    HINT:
    While fixing the nut in place, loosen and remove the bolt.

  1. Disconnect the shock absorber with coil spring from the lower arm.



4. REMOVE FRONT SUSPENSION ARM ASSEMBLY LOWER LH

  1. Remove the 2 bolts, and disconnect the ball joint attachment from the steering knuckle.

  1. Place matchmarks on the No. 1 camber adjusting cam and vehicle frame, and No. 2 camber adjusting cam and vehicle frame.

  1. Remove the 2 nuts, No. 1 and No. 2 camber adjusting cams, 2 camber adjusting cams and lower arm.

  1. Remove the cotter pin and nut.

  1. Using SST, remove the ball joint attachment.
