1. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Twist the knob counterclockwise and pull it upward to remove it.



2. REMOVE UPPER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the position indicator housing.



3. REMOVE POSITION INDICATOR SLIDE COVER


4. REMOVE INDICATOR LIGHT WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Detach the 3 indicator light wire clamps.

  1. Remove the bulb from the position indicator housing.



5. REMOVE LOWER POSITION INDICATOR HOUSING

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the position indicator housing.



6. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER SHAFT HOUSING ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the shift lever nut and shift lever guide pin from the shaft housing.

  1. Remove the shaft housing from the shift lever.



7. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK RELEASE BUTTON

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the shift lock release button and spring.



8. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Pull up the clip and hold it in position. Then pull out the pin.

  1. Remove the shift lever.



9. REMOVE SHIFT LOCK CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 2 screws and ECU.
