1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL


2. REMOVE REAR PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove propeller shaft (Click here).



3. REMOVE REAR AXLE HOUSING FILLER PLUG

  1. Remove the filler plug.



4. REMOVE REAR AXLE HOUSING DRAIN PLUG

  1. Remove the drain plug.



5. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the brake drum for 2WD (Click here).

  1. Remove the brake drum for 4WD (Click here).



6. REMOVE REAR BRAKE DRUM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

  1. Remove the brake drum for 2WD (Click here).

  1. Remove the brake drum for 4WD (Click here).



7. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING LH


8. REMOVE BRAKE PEDAL RETURN SPRING RH


9. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR REAR LH

  1. Remove speed sensor (Click here).



10. REMOVE SPEED SENSOR REAR RH

  1. Remove speed sensor (Click here).



11. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE

  1. Remove the parking brake cable for 2WD (Click here).

  1. Remove the parking brake cable for 4WD (Click here).



12. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT WITH BACKING PLATE LH

  1. Remove rear axle shaft with backing plate (Click here).



13. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT WITH BACKING PLATE RH

  1. Remove rear axle shaft with backing plate (Click here).



14. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT OIL SEAL LH
Remove axle shaft oil seal (Click here).


15. REMOVE REAR AXLE SHAFT OIL SEAL RH
Remove axle shaft oil seal (Click here).


16. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER ASSEMBLY REAR

  1. Remove the 10 nuts and differential carrier.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to damage the contact surface.



17. REMOVE REAR DIFFERENTIAL CARRIER GASKET
