1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.



2. DRAIN TRANSFER OIL


3. REMOVE LOWER TRANSFER CASE PROTECTOR

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and protector.



4. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY (M/T)

  1. Remove the manual transmission (Click here).



5. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY (A/T)

  1. Remove the automatic transmission (Click here).



6. REMOVE TRANSFER ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 8 bolts and 2 clamps.

  1. Remove the transfer from the transmission.
