HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.



1. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH (2WD)

  1. Install the sensor with the bolt labeled A.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm , 71 in.*lbf }

    NOTICE:
    Keep the sensor tip and sensor installation hole free from foreign matter.

  1. Install the 4 brackets with the 4 bolts labeled B.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm , 71 in.*lbf }

    NOTICE:
    Do not twist the sensor wire when installing it.

  1. Connect the 4 clamps labeled C.

    NOTICE:
    Do not twist the sensor wire when installing it.



  1. Connect the sensor connector labeled D.

2. INSTALL FRONT SPEED SENSOR LH (4WD)

  1. Install the speed sensor with the bolt labeled A.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm , 71 in.*lbf }

    NOTICE:
    Keep the sensor tip and sensor installation hole free from foreign matter.

  1. Connect the 2 clamps labeled B.

    NOTICE:
    Do not twist the sensor wire when installing it.

  1. Install the 3 brackets with the 3 bolts labeled C.

    Torque:
    8.0 N*m{ 82 kgf*cm , 71 in.*lbf }

    NOTICE:
    Do not twist the sensor wire when installing it.

  1. Connect the 6 clamps labeled D.

    NOTICE:
    Do not twist the sensor wire when installing it.



  1. Connect the sensor connector labeled E.

3. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL

Torque:
152 N*m{ 1,550 kgf*cm , 112 ft.*lbf } for 2WD (steel type)
121 N*m{ 1,234 kgf*cm , 89 ft.*lbf } for 2WD (aluminum type)
105 N*m{ 1,071 kgf*cm , 77 ft.*lbf } for 4WD



4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


5. PERFORM INITIALIZATION

  1. Perform initialization (Click here.

    NOTICE:
    Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.



6. CHECK ABS SPEED SENSOR SIGNAL

  1. Check the ABS speed sensor signal (Click here).
