3.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (RADIO RECEIVER - FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER)

  1. Disconnect the R1 receiver connector.

  1. Disconnect the S15 or S16 receiver connector.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:
    Tester Connection
    Specified Condition
    R1-1 (FR+) - S16-1
    Below 1 Ω
    R1-5 (FR-) - S16-2
    Below 1 Ω
    R1-1 (FR+) - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher
    R1-5 (FR-) - Body ground
    10 kΩ or higher
    R1-2 (FL+) - S15-1
    Below 1 Ω
    R1-6 (FL-) - S15-2
    Below 1 Ω

  1. Check the front No. 1 speaker assembly (Click here).

    Front No. 1 speaker is normal.

5.CHECK FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
  1. Check that the front No. 2 speaker sounds.

    OK:
    Speaker sounds.

6.CHECK WIRE HARNESS (FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER - FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER)

  1. Disconnect the S15 and T23, or S16 and T24 connectors.

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:

  1. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

    Standard resistance:

    R2-5 (FR-) - T24-2
    Below 1 Ω

9.INSPECT FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
  1. Check that the malfunction disappears when another speaker in good condition is installed.

    OK:
    Malfunction disappears.

    HINT:
    1. Connect all connectors to speakers.
    2. When there is a possibility that either the right or left front speaker is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

    Below 1 Ω
    R2-3 (RR-) - S18-2*1 or S20-2*2
    Below 1 Ω

    R2-2 (RL+) - S17-1*1 or S19-1*2
