CAUTION:
Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback spring and seat cushion frame may injure your hands.

HINT:
  1. Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
  2. The procedures listed below are for the LH side.



1. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB LH

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the snap ring as shown in the illustration. Then remove the knob.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

  1. Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the release handle.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



3. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

  1. Remove the 2 screws.

  1. Disengage the rear part of the cushion shield in the order indicated in the illustration to detach the claw and remove the cushion shield.



4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

  1. w/ Passenger seat belt warning light:
    Detach the 2 clamps.

  1. w/ Passenger seat belt warning light:
    Disconnect the connector.

  1. Detach the wire harness from the clamp.

  1. Remove the nut and seat belt.

  1. Remove the buckle cover.



5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD INNER LH

  1. Remove the 2 screws. Then remove the cushion shield in the order indicated in the illustration.



6. REMOVE NO. 1 FOLD SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)


7. REMOVE NO. 1 FOLD SEAT LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)


8. REMOVE SEAT TRACK CONTROL CABLE BRACKET LH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the E-ring as shown in the illustration. Then remove the bracket.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



9. REMOVE SEAT TRACK CONTROL CABLE BRACKET RH (w/ Seat Position Memory System)

HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.



10. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.



11. REMOVE FRONT SEATBACK COVER

  1. Remove the 5 hog rings shown in the illustration.

  1. Roll up the seatback cover.

  1. Remove the 2 hog rings shown in the illustration.

  1. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

  1. Remove the seatback cover (with pad) from the seatback spring.

12. REMOVE SEATBACK SPRING

  1. w/ Occupant detection sensor:
    Detach the sensor clamp.

  1. Detach the 2 hooks.

  1. Detach the hooks in the hook area shown in the illustration.

  1. Remove the 7 hog rings and seat cushion cover (with pad) from the seat cushion frame.

  1. Remove the 2 cushion edge protectors (front side).

  1. Remove the 6 hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.



14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and seat cushion frame.



15. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING SHAFT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

  1. Using a screwdriver, disconnect the seat spring from the reclining adjuster arm as shown in the illustration.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Using a screwdriver, spread apart the tabs that hold the spring as shown in the illustration. Then remove the spring.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Remove the front seat adjuster pin.

  1. Temporarily install the vertical seat adjuster knob.

  1. Turn the knob clockwise to move the gear of the vertical adjusting shaft. Move the gear to the position shown in the illustration.

  1. Remove the vertical seat adjuster knob.

  1. Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 E-rings as shown in the illustration. Then remove the adjusting shaft.



16. REMOVE SEAT TRACK ADJUSTING HANDLE

  1. Detach the springs in the order indicated in the illustration. Then remove the handle.



17. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ROD (w/ Vertical Adjuster)

  1. Remove the 2 bolts and adjuster rod.



18. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER LH

  1. w/ Vertical adjuster:
    Using a T40 "torx" socket, remove the 2 "torx" bolts and adjuster arm.

  1. w/o Vertical adjuster:
    Remove the 3 bolts and adjuster arm.



19. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER ARM SUB-ASSEMBLY LOWER RH

Use the same procedures described for the LH side.



20. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION EDGE PROTECTOR LH (OUTER SIDE)
