FUEL PUMP > REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FUEL TANK ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the fuel tank from the body (Click here).



2. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE ASSEMBLY FROM FUEL TANK

  1. Remove the fuel gauge tube from the fuel tank.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful not to bend the arm of the fuel sender gauge.

  1. Remove the gasket from the fuel tank.



3. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE

  1. Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.

  1. Press down on the sender gauge claw labeled A. Then slide the sender gauge upward.



4. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL SUB TANK

  1. Disconnect the fuel pump connector.

  1. Using a small screwdriver, detach the claw on the end of the tube from the claw hole. Disconnect the tube from the 2 clamps.

  1. Remove the sub tank cap.

    1. Disconnect the 2 fuel tubes and fuel pump harness.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws from the claw holes and remove the sub tank cap.

      HINT:
      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Using needle-nose pliers, remove the 2 E-rings.

    HINT:
    Slightly lower the sub tank cap to remove the E-rings.

  1. Remove the 2 springs.

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws from the claw holes and remove the fuel sub tank.

    NOTICE:
    Do not damage the fuel sub tank.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.



5. REMOVE FUEL PUMP

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws from the claw holes and disconnect the fuel pump and suction filter assembly.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  1. Remove the fuel pump harness.

  1. Remove the O-ring from the fuel pump.



6. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT

  1. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws from the claw holes and remove the fuel suction support.

    HINT:
    Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
