(With IG OFF, communication cannot be established between the body integrated unit — seat memory CM.)
Before performing diagnosis, check the following items which might affect the problems related to power seat memory/door mirror system.
Check the battery.

Communicate with the system other than [Power Seat Memory] using the Subaru Select Monitor.
Is the communication to other control module possible?
Perform the “Communication for Initializing Impossible” of LAN system.

Perform the inspection for LAN system.
LAN SYSTEM (DIAGNOSTICS)>Basic Diagnostic Procedure>PROCEDURE
Is the check result OK?
Perform the diagnosis according to the inspection for LAN system.
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Disconnect the Power Seat & Remote Control Mirror CM connector.
Disconnect the connector of body integrated unit.
Connect the disconnected connectors.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Communicate with [Power Seat Memory] using the Subaru Select Monitor.
Is communication possible?
The circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and then perform the diagnosis again.
In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Disconnect the Power Seat & Remote Control Mirror CM connector.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Using a tester, measure the voltage between Power Seat & Remote Control Mirror CM connector and chassis ground.

DTC detecting condition:
No signal is received from body integrated unit for a certain period of time (2100 ms) or more. Or, signal transmission from Power Seat & Remote Control Mirror CM is not possible for a certain period of time (2100 ms) or more.
Trouble symptom:
Seat operation is possible with manual operation, but not with memory function.
Registration is possible with memory switch, but not with keyless access key.
Before performing diagnosis, refer to “CAUTION” in “General Description”.

Even if DTC is displayed, the circuit has returned to a normal condition at this time. Reproduce the failure, and perform the diagnosis again.
In this case, temporary poor contact of connector, temporary open or short circuit of harness may be the cause.
Read the DTC of [Body Control] using the Subaru Select Monitor.

LIN communication circuit with the body integrated unit is shorted for a certain period of time (4000 ms) or more.
Trouble symptom:

Does each motor rotate for three seconds or more when operating the switch?
Output circuit is normal. The current mirror surface position may be identical to the memory reloading target position. Adjust the mirror surface position to the position different from the current position, register and reload the memory, and check normal operation.

Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Using a tester, measure the voltage between Power Seat & Remote Control Mirror CM connector and chassis ground.
