Inspection Procedure 9: A/C pressure sensor system






COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM


If the A/C pressure sensor system is defective, the wiring harness between the A/C pressure sensor and the A/C-ECU is suspected.

PROBABLE CAUSE



  • Malfunction of the A/C pressure sensor
  • Malfunction of the semi automatic air conditioner control panel (A/C-ECU)
  • Damaged wiring harness or connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. M.U.T.-III data list


Check that the following service data display contents are normal (Refer to ).

  • Item 11: A/C Pressure sensor

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.
NO : Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Connector check: A-27 A/C pressure sensor connector



Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.

Repair the connector.

STEP 3. Inspection of A/C pressure sensor


Refer to .

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.
Replace the A/C pressure sensor.

STEP 4. Connector check: B-113 A/C-ECU connector




Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5.

Repair the connector.

STEP 5. Check the wiring harness between A-27 A/C pressure sensor connector (terminals 1, 2 and 3) and B-113 A/C-ECU connector (terminals 12, 2 and 16).






note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check intermediate connector B-118, and repair if necessary.

  • Check the input line for open circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6.

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 6. Recheck the trouble symptom


Q. Is the check result normal?

The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Replace the A/C-ECU.
