caution Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the input and output signal circuits are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM


When the coming home light does not operate normally, the ETACS-ECU may have a problem. Or, the coming home light may have been set to disabled using the customisation function.

PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Check the customise function.


Check if the coming home light is set to enabled.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2.
Using the customisation function, set the coming home light to enabled. Refer to .

STEP 2. Check the tail lamps and headlamps.


When the lighting switch is operated, check that the tail lamps and headlamps illuminate/go off normally.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
First, repair the tail lamps and headlamps. Refer to trouble symptom chart .

STEP 3. Retest the system.


The coming home light should work normally.

Q. Is the check result normal?

The procedure is complete.
Replace the ETACS-ECU. Then perform the variant coding and write the VIN data (Refer to GROUP 00, Precautions Before Service - How to Perform Variant Coding ).
