Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check seat belt switch (LH) connector C-22 <LH
drive vehicles> or seat belt switch (RH) connector C-27 <RH drive vehicles>,
and repair if necessary.

- Check the earth wires for open circuit. (Check with the driver’s
seat belt unbuckled.)

Repair the wiring harness.

Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check seat belt switch (RH) connector C-27 <LH
drive vehicles>, seat belt switch (LH) connector C-22 <RH drive vehicles>,
seat belt reminder sensor C-27-1 <LH drive vehicles> or C-22-1 <RH drive
vehicles>, and repair if necessary.

- Check the earth wires for open circuit. (Check with the front passenger’s
seat belt unbuckled, and with the seat belt reminder sensor activated by an occupant on the
front passenger seat.)

YES <The seat belt reminder function works normally.> : The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How

Malfunction ).

NO <Buzzers do not sound.> : Replace the ETACS-ECU. Then perform the variant coding and write the VIN data
(Refer to GROUP 00, Precautions Before Service - How to Perform Variant Coding ).

|
|
|
|
NO <The indicator does not illuminate.> : Replace the combination meter.
|
|
|
