TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION (COMMENT)


The cause is probably a faulty radio with CD player memory backup power supply circuit system.

PROBABLE CAUSES




DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1.Voltage measurement the at radio with CD player connector B-13.




(1)Disconnect radio with CD player connector B-13.

(2)Measure the voltage between terminal number 11 and earth.
OK: System voltage

Q. Does the measured voltage correspond with this range?

When YES <radio with CD player does not execute memory save then.> : Either repair or replace the radio with CD player. Check that a memory is retained.

Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Connector check: radio with CD player connector B-13.




Q. Is radio with CD player connector B-13 in good condition?

Go to Step 3.

Repair or replace the damage component(s). Check that a memory is retained.

STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between radio with CD player connector B-13 (terminal 11) and battery.





  • Check the power supply line (battery power supply) for open circuit and short circuit.




note Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check junction block connector B-208 and B-231, and joint connector connectors B-24, and repair if necessary.

Q. Are the wiring harness between radio with CD player connector B-13 (terminal 11) and battery in good condition?

Repair or replace the radio with CD player. Check that a memory is retained.

Repair or replace the damage component(s). Check that a memory is retained.
