Removal steps


1.
 Steering column lower cover


2.
 Turn-signal and lighting switch


3.
 Windshield wiper and washer switch

COLUMN SWITCH BODY


caution To remove the driver air bag module, refer to GROUP 52B - Service Precautions and Driver’s Airbag Module Clock Spring .
Pre-removal operation
  • Check of steering wheel straight-ahead position
  • Removal of steering wheel assembly (Refer to GROUP 37 - Steering Wheel .)
  • Removal of steering column lower cover, steering column upper cover (Refer to GROUP 37 - Steering Shaft .)
  • Removal of clock spring (Refer to GROUP 52B - Driver’s Front Passenger’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring .)

 Post-installation operation
  • Installation of clock spring (Refer to GROUP 52B - Driver’s Front Passenger’s Air Bag Module and Clock Spring .)
  • Installation of steering column lower cover, steering column upper cover (Refer to GROUP 37 - Steering Shaft .)
  • Installation of steering wheel assembly (Refer to GROUP 37 - Steering Wheel .)
  • Check of steering wheel straight-ahead position
