Key Out of Sync

COMMENT ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

|
The transponder sends signals to control the immobilizer system and also the keyless entry
system. This code will be set if the keyless entry rolling code cannot be synchronised. This code
does not mean that there is a problem in the immobilizer system.
|

|
- Malfunction of the keyless entry transmitter
|
|
|
STEP 1. Register the encrypted code, and then retest the system.
|
|
|
(1)Register the keyless entry transmitter again.
|
|
|
(2)Check that each signal is received from the keyless entry transmitter.
|
|
|

Is the check result normal?
|
|
|
 The procedure is complete.
|
|
|
|
|
|
 Go to Step 2.
|
|
|
|
|
|
STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
|
|
|
Recheck if the diagnosis code is set.
|
|
|
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
|
|
|
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.
|
|
|

Is the diagnosis code set?
|
|
|
Replace the keyless entry transmitter, and then go to step 3.
|
|
|
|
|
|
It is determined that there is an intermittent malfunction such as poor engaged
connector(s) or open circuit (Refer to GROUP 00, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction  ).
|
|
|
|
|
|
STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
|
|
|
Recheck if the diagnosis code is set.
|
|
|
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.
|
|
|
(2)Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
|
|
|
(3)Check if the diagnosis code is set.

|
|

Return to Step 2.
