TCL/ASC-ECU receives engine system-related signal from the engine-ECU via the
CAN bus lines.
|

When the torque request rejection signal from the engine-ECU or the engine-A-M/T-ECU shows
rejection, TCL/ASC-ECU determines that the malfunction has occurred and sets this diagnosis.
|
|
|
- Malfunction of engine-ECU or engine-A-M/T-ECU
- Malfunction of TCL/ASC-ECU
|
|
|
Use the M.U.T.-III to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Repair the CAN bus lines. (Refer to GROUP 54C - Troubleshooting .)

YES <135 or 4A9> : Diagnose the engine-ECU or engine-A-M/T-ECU. Then go to Step 5.

YES <4G1> : Diagnose the engine-ECU. Then go to Step 5.

|
Check if the diagnosis code other than code No.C1396 is set from TCL/ASC-ECU.

Troubleshoot for the relevant diagnosis code. (Refer to .)

NO <134 or 3A9> : Replace the engine-ECU (Refer to GROUP 13A - Engine-ECU .) Then
go to Step 5.

|
|
NO <135 or 4A9> : Replace the engine-ECU or Engine-A-M/T-ECU (Refer to GROUP 13B - Engine-ECU,
Engine-A-M/T-ECU .) Then go to Step 5.

|
NO <4G1> : Replace the engine-ECU (Refer to GROUP 13C - Engine-ECU .)
Then go to Step 5.

|
Check again if the diagnosis code is set.
|
|
|
(1)Erase the diagnosis code.

(2)Ignition switch: "LOCK" (OFF)
