Inspection Procedure 2: When the Clutch Pedal is Depressed, Cruise Control is not Cancelled <M/T (except AS&G)>.

The cause is probably a malfunction of the clutch switch circuit.

POSSIBLE CAUSES



DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the data list.
Using M.U.T.-III, check the data list (Refer to - data list reference table).

  • Item 78: Clutch switch

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 6.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Connectors check: A-09 <135, 4A9> or A-35 <4G1> engine-ECU connector and B-22 clutch switch connector.




Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.

Repair or replace the damaged connector. Then go to Step 7.

STEP 3. Check the harness wire between engine-ECU connector A-09 <135, 4A9> or A-35 <4G1> terminal No.113 and clutch switch connector B-22 terminal No.1, and between clutch switch connector B-22 terminal No.6 and earth.




Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 4.

Repair the damaged harness wire. Then go to Step 7.

STEP 4. Check the clutch switch.
Refer to GROUP 21A - Clutch Pedal, Clutch Switch Check .

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 5.
Replace the clutch switch (Refer to GROUP 21A - Clutch Pedal ). Then go to Step 7.

STEP 5. Check the data list.
Using M.U.T.-III, check the data list (Refer to - data list reference table).

  • Item 78: Clutch switch

Q. Is the check result normal?
Go to Step 6.
Replace the engine-ECU (Refer to GROUP 13B - Engine-ECU, engine-A-M/T-ECU ) <135, 4A9> or (Refer to GROUP 13C - Engine-ECU ) <4G1>. When the engine-ECU is replaced, register the encrypted code (Refer to GROUP 54A - Ignition Switch, Encrypted Code Registration Criteria Table ). Then go to Step 7.

STEP 6. Retest the system.

Q. When the clutch pedal is depressed, is the cruise control cancelled?
It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).
Replace the engine-ECU (Refer to GROUP 13B - Engine-ECU, engine-A-M/T-ECU ) <135, 4A9> or (Refer to GROUP 13C - Engine-ECU ) <4G1>. When the engine-ECU is replaced, register the encrypted code (Refer to GROUP 54A - Ignition Switch, Encrypted Code Registration Criteria Table ). Then go to Step 7.

STEP 7. Retest the system.

Q. When the clutch pedal is depressed, is the cruise control cancelled?
The procedure is complete.
