COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

Malfunction of automated manual transmission system.

PROBABLE CAUSES

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Check the automated manual transmission system diagnosis code.

Using M.U.T.-III, perform automated manual transmission system diagnosis code (Refer to GROUP 22C - troubleshooting, Diagnostic Function ).

Q. Is any diagnosis code set?

Repair the automated manual transmission system (Refer to GROUP 22C - troubleshooting, Diagnosis Code Chart ). Then go to Step 4.
Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check the data list.

Using M.U.T.-III, check the data list (Refer to - data list reference table).

  • Item 88: Neutral switch

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3.
Replace the engine-A-M/T-ECU (Refer to GROUP 13B - Engine-ECU, engine-A-M/T-ECU ). When the engine-A-M/T-ECU is replaced, register the encrypted code (Refer to GROUP 54A - Ignition Switch, Encrypted Code Registration Criteria Table ). Then go to Step 4 .

STEP 3. Retest the system.

Q. When the shift lever is set to "N" position, is the cruise control cancelled?

It can be assumed that this malfunction is intermittent (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points, How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ).

STEP 4. Retest the system.
