caution
  • When the detonation sensor replacement is performed, idling speed may be unstable because the MPI engine learning is not completed. To make it stable, make the system learn the idling (Refer to GROUP 00, Precautions before Service - Learning Procedure for Idling in MPI Engine ).
  • Do not drop or hit the detonation sensor against other components. Internal damage may result, and the detonation sensor will need to be replaced.
Pre-removal Operation
  • Inlet Manifold Stay Removal (Refer to GROUP 15, Inlet Manifold ).

Post-installation Operation
  • Inlet Manifold Stay Installation (Refer to GROUP 15, Inlet Manifold ).

1.Install the detonation sensor to the cylinder block in the area shown.
2.Tighten the detonation sensor mounting bolt to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:20 ± 1 N·m
