Code No. P1967: Trustful Check Engine Speed

FUNCTION

Compare the actual engine speed through the crank angle sensor signal trip with the assumed engine speed through the crank angle sensor signal pulse number after the specified period.

TROUBLE JUDGMENT

Check Condition

During the engine running.

Judgment Criterion

The difference between the actual engine speed and the assumed engine speed is 300 r/min or more.

PROBABLE CAUSE

Failed engine-ECU

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. M.U.T.-III diagnosis code

After clearing the diagnosis code through M.U.T.-III, start the engine and confirm whether the diagnosis code is output.

Q. Diagnosis code set?

	Replace the engine-ECU then perform the variant coding (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions Before Service - How to Perform Variant Coding ).

	Intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 - How to Use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunctions ).
