Inspection Procedure 26: Clutch Switch System

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE


STEP 1. Connector check: B-22 clutch switch connector



Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 2 .

Repair or replace the connector.

STEP 2. Check the clutch switch itself.



  • Clutch switch check (Refer to GROUP 21A - Clutch Pedal - Clutch Switch Check )

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 3 .
Replace the clutch switch.

STEP 3. Perform voltage measurement at B-22 clutch switch connector.




  • Disconnect connector, and measure at the harness side.
  • Ignition switch: ON
  • Voltage between terminal No. 1 and earth.
OK: System voltage

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 6 .

Go to Step 4 .

STEP 4. Connector check: A-35 engine-ECU connector



Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 5 .

Repair or replace the connector.

STEP 5. Check harness between B-22 (terminal No.1) clutch switch connector and A-35 (terminal No. 113) engine-ECU connector.





  • Check output line for open/short circuit.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Replace the engine-ECU then perform the variant coding (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions Before Service - How to Perform Variant Coding ).

Repair.

STEP 6. Perform resistance measurement at B-22 clutch switch connector.




  • Disconnect the connector, and measure at the harness side.
  • Resistance between terminal No. 6 and earth.
OK: Continuity (2 Ω or less)

Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 7 .


    Check and repair harness between B-22 (terminal No. 6) clutch switch and body earth.

    • Check earthing line for open circuit and damage.

STEP 7. Connector check: A-35 engine-ECU connector.



Q. Is the check result normal?

Go to Step 8 .

Repair.

STEP 8. Check harness between B-22 (terminal No. 1) clutch switch connector and A-35 (terminal No. 113) engine-ECU connector.





  • Check output line for damage.

Q. Is the check result normal?

Replace the engine-ECU then perform the variant coding (Refer to GROUP 00 - Precautions Before Service - How to Perform Coding ).

Repair.
