FUEL PUMP CONNECTOR DISCONNECTION (HOW TO REDUCE PRESSURIZED FUEL LINES)


warning When removing the fuel pipe, etc., release fuel pressure to prevent fuel spray.
1.Remove the rear seat assembly (Refer to GROUP 52A, Rear Seat Assembly ) <Vehicles without tumbling type rear seat>. Lift up the rear seat assembly <Vehicles with tumbling type rear seat>.
2.Remove the rear scuff plate <COLT> (Refer to GROUP 52A, Interior Trims ).

caution Moulding type of centre carpet is used. Be careful not to change the shape of carpet when turning it over for operation.
Turn over the centre carpet.

4.Remove the inspection lid.

5.Disconnect the fuel tank pump and gauge assembly connector.
6.Crank the engine for at least two seconds.
7.If the engine is not started, turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
8.If the engine is started, turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position after the engine stopped.
9.Connect the fuel tank pump and gauge assembly connector.
10.Install the inspection lid.
11.Return the centre carpet to the original state.
12.Install the rear scuff plate <COLT> (Refer to GROUP 52A, Interior Trims ).
13.Install the rear seat assembly (Refer to GROUP 52A, Rear Seat Assembly ) <Vehicles without tumbling type rear seat>. Return the rear seat to the original state <Vehicles with tumbling type rear seat>.
