ENGINE

The four types of petrol engines have been adopted to realize light weight, small size, and good fuel efficiency. Those engines are complied with Step 4 in European emissions regulations.

1.1L (134) ENGINE

The newly developed 1.1L 134910 engine features 3-cylinder, 12-valve, and double overhead camshafts (DOHC).

1.3L/1.5L (135) ENGINE

The unit is powered by the newly developed 135930/135950 engine. The total displacement is 1.3L for the 135930, and 1.5L for the 135950. Both engines are a 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) design.

1.5L (4G1) ENGINE <Vehecles with turbocharger>

We establishes 1.5L 4G1-DOHC engines installed in COLT/COLT CZT.
The basic development is the similar to 4G1-SOHC engines installed in LANCER.

AUTO STOP & GO (AS&G) SYSTEM

To reduce the CO₂ emissions from the vehicle, the engine-ECU monitors the driving conditions by using the various sensors. If the specified conditions are satisfied, the engine-ECU stops the engine (Auto stop). When the driver depresses the clutch pedal, the engine-ECU restarts the engine (Auto start).
