DTC Troubleshooting: P0775 (39-2)
| DTC P0775: | Problem in CVT Driven Pulley Pressure Control Valve Circuit |
For KB, KE, KG, and KQ Models
NOTE:
- Record all freeze data and review General Troubleshooting Information before you troubleshoot.
- The illustration shows the example of connector terminal arrangement; connector terminal arrangement varies with the models.
| 1. | Disconnect CVT driven pulley pressure control valve connector. |
| 2. | Measure the resistance between connector terminals at the control valve connector.
CONTROL VALVE CONNECTORTerminal side of male terminals Is the resistance 3.8-6.8 W? YES - Go to 3. NO - Faulty the CVT driven pulley pressure control valve, replace the control valve body.n |
| 3. | Disconnect PCM connectors A (31P). |
| 4. | Check for continuity between PCM connector terminals A3 and body ground, and between A5 and body ground.
(BRN) (L13A1 engine) (BLK) (L15A1 engine) Is there continuity? YES - Go to 5. NO - Repair open in the wire between PCM connector terminals A3 and A5, and ground (G101), or repair poor ground (G101).n |
| 5. | Disconnect PCM connectors B (24P) and C (22P). |
| 6. | Check for continuity between PCM connector terminal B7 and body ground.
(GRN/WHT)PCM CONNECTOR B (24P)Wire side of female terminals Is there continuity? YES - Repair short in the wire between PCM connector terminal B7 and CVT driven pulley pressure control valve connector.n NO - Go to 7. |
| 7. | Check for continuity between PCM connector terminal C1 and body ground.
(PNK/BLK) Is there continuity? YES - Repair short in the wire between PCM connector terminal C1 and CVT driven pulley pressure control valve connector.n NO - Go to 8. |
| 8. | Connect CVT driven pulley pressure control valve connector. |
| 9. | Measure the resistance between PCM connector terminals B7 and C1.
(GRN/WHT)B (24P)PCM CONNECTORSWire side of female terminalsC (22P)DN LS- (PNK/BLK) Is the resistance 3.8-6.8 W? YES - Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM, then recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good PCM, replace the original PCM.n NO - Go to 10. |
| 10. | Disconnect CVT driven pulley pressure control valve connector. |
| 11. | Check for continuity between PCM connector terminal B7 and CVT driven pulley pressure control valve connector terminal No. 1.
