Rear Door Outer Handle Replacement

NOTE : Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1.	Raise the glass fully.

2.	Remove these items: Door panel Plastic cover, as necessary

3.	Release the inner handle rod (A) and lock rod (B) from the rod holder (C).   Fastener Location: Screw, 1EDACBD

4.	Remove the screw, and release the hooks (D), then remove the rod protector (E).

5.	Remove the screws securing the latch (A), then move the latch down. Take care not to bend any of the rods.   Fastener Locations: Screw, 3A6 x 1.0 mm 5 N·m (0.5 kgf·m, 4 lbf·ft)

6.	Remove the bolts securing the outer handle (A) and outer handle protector (B).   Fastener Locations: Bolt, 2A6 x 1.0 mm 9.8 N·m (1.0 kgf·m, 7.2 lbf·ft)B

7.	Detach the outer handle protector (A) from the handle clip (B) by pulling it back, then remove it from the outer handle (C).   ABC

8.	From inside the door, pry the clip (A) catching the edge of the handle opening flange. Pull out the outer handle (B), then remove it.   A(1)(2)B

9.	Install the handle in the reverse order of removal, and note these items: Make sure the door locks and opens properly. Make sure the handle clip catches the edge of the opening flange securely.
