- Install the oil pan upper according to the installation direction of the oil pan upper (B).
- After installing oil pan upper to cylinder block, push oil pan upper to engine front side, see illustration (C) moving direction of oil pan upper, tighten each bolt and nut with specified torque. In this time, different value (D) between cylinder block and oil pan upper is less than 0.2 mm.
- Tighten oil pan upper with tightening order as illustration.
Specified torque:
9.8 Nm (1.0 kgf/m, 7.2 lbf/ft)
- Remove the aligner (special tool).
- Clean sealing surfaces of the lower oil pan and remove sealant residue.
- Apply a bead of liquid gasket to sealing surfaces of oil pan lower.
- Install drain plug (A) in the oil pan lower with new seal ring.
Specified torque:
39 Nm (4.0 kgf/m, 29 lbf/ft)
- Install oil pan lower (B) to oil pan upper (C).
Specified torque:
9.8 Nm (1.0 kgf/m, 7.2 lbf/ft)
