Oil Seal and Bearing Outer Race Replacement (cont'd)

Transaxle case side

  1. Remove the differential side bearing outer race and shims (A) from the transmission case using the special tools.

  1. Remove the drive shaft oil seal from the transmission case using the special tools.
  1. Apply oil to the bearing outer race installation.
  1. Install the differential side bearing outer race with selected shim (A) using the special tool with a hammer.

  1. Press bearing until seated in its bore.
  1. Install the new drive shaft oil seal using the special tool with a hammer.
