Rear Door Outer Handle Replacement (5D)

Rear Door Outer Handle Replacement

With Super Locking


NOTE: Put on gloves to protect your hands.

1.Remove these items:


2.Raise the glass fully.

3.Remove the bolt (A) and nut (B), then remove the rear door lock connector protector (C).

4.Disconnect the outer handle rod (A) from the latch (B).

5.Remove the screws securing the latch (A), then lower it.

6.Remove the child lock cap (A) and bolt, then remove the protector (B).

7.Remove the bolt, then remove the spacer (A).

8.While pulling the outer handle (A), remove the handle from the holes in the door panel.
Take care not to scratch the door.

9.Disconnect the outer handle rod (A) from the outer handle (B).

10.Install the handle in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

  • Make sure the door locks and opens properly.
  • When reinstalling the door panel, make sure the plastic cover is installed properly and sealed around its perimeter.
