Parking Brake Shoe Lining Break-in
NOTE: Perform brake linings surface break-in when replacing shoes with new linings and/or new rear brake disc/drum.

Perform this operation in a safe area.

| 1. | Park the vehicle on a firm, level surface.
|
| 4. | Drive the vehicle at 31 mph (50 km/h).
|
| 5. | Pull the parking brake lever 88 N (9 kgf, 19.8 lbf) clicks while driving the vehicle for 400 m (1/4 mile).
|
| 6. | Stop the vehicle and release the parking brake for 5-10 minutes to allow the drums to cool.
|
| 7. | Repeat steps 4 through 6 three more times.
