Headlight Adjuster Leveling Sensor Troubleshooting
With HID Lamp:
Before testing, inspect the No. 20 (7.5A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box.
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 2. | Turn the headlight switch ON. |
| 3. | Check for continuity between the No. 3 terminal and body ground. [YEL/GRN] Is there continuity? YES - Go to 4. NO - An open in the wire or faulty headlight adjuster control unit.n |
| 4. | Check for voltage between the No. 1 terminal and body ground. [GRN] Is there 5V or more? YES - Go to 5. NO - An open in the wire or body short.n |
| 5. | Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported. |
| 6. | Remove the headlights adjuster leveling sensor mounting nut from the control arm, and make the shaft move free. |
| 7. | Measure the voltage between the No. 3 [No. 8] and No. 6 [No. 9] terminals by moving the shaft slowly.
