| DTC B1379: | Left Side Power Tailgate Touch Sensor Signal Error |
| 1. | Clear the DTCs by selecting the DTCs MENU (DTCs) from the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. |
| 2. | Cycle the ignition switch to OFF and then back ON. |
| 3. | Open the tailgate fully with the transmitter or manual operation. |
| 4. | Close the tailgate fully with the transmitter or the power tailgate inner switch. |
| 5. | Check the DTCs by selecting the DTCs MENU (DTCs) from the Honda PGH Tester or the HDS. Is DTC B1379 indicated again? YES - Go to 6. NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.n |
| 6. | Disconnect the 2P connectors from the left power tailgate upper and lower touch sensors. |
| 7. | Check for voltage between the No. 1 and No. 2 terminals of the left power tailgate upper and lower touch sensor 2P connectors. Is there battery voltage? YES - Faulty left power tailgate upper and lower touch sensor; replace it.n NO - Go to 8. |
| 8. | Cycle the ignition switch to OFF. |
| 9. | Disconnect connector A (26P) from the power tailgate control unit. |
| 10. | Check for continuity between the No. 22 terminal of power tailgate control unit connector A (26P) and No. 2 terminal of the left power tailgate upper and lower touch sensor 2P connectors. Is there continuity? YES - Go to 11. NO - Repair an open in the YEL/GRN (TSEL) wire.n |
| 11. | Check for continuity between the No. 25 terminal of power tailgate control unit connector A (26P) and No. 1 terminal of the left power tailgate upper and lower touch sensor 2P connectors. Is there continuity? YES - Faulty power tailgate control unit; replace it.n NO - Repair an open in the BLK/WHT (SEG2) wire.n |
